I’ll Wait for You
5
The strings binding Donatello cut into his flesh, his face grating against concrete. In spite of that the turtle writhed in Bishop’s embrace, crying out in tears.
“No!...”
“Be still, knave!”
“Let go!“
“I’ll break you, one way or another!”
“Leave me!”
“Your brain will be mine.”
“Leo!”
The last call in bleak walls.
2
“Leonardo, what you have done to Donatello I cannot tolerate between my sons. If the border is crossed regardless, you will bear full responsibility.”
“I take it, father.”
7
At the sounds of fighting, Donatello raised his head from the pallet. His brothers burst into the cell.
“Don! Are you alright?”
He scrunched into a ball, shame, disgrace and relief. They noticed nothing on him.
3
When Leonardo walked out of his master’s room, Michelangelo was pleading with Raphael: “Kiss me.”
“No way.”
“Then Donnie, you kiss me.” And Donatello obliged.
6
Agent Bishop got up from the shaking heap of green flesh.
“I’m done,” he told the guard. “Wash him and put him to bed. Tomorrow I’m introducing him to the laboratory. A second taming is not expected.”
1
Leonardo and Donatello bumped into each other in the doorway, leant closer and kissed, both equally surprised.
“What was that supposed to be?” Raphael swore.
4
In his sleep Leonardo was turning and feverishly whispering: “Donnie...” Donatello lay a hand on his forehead.
“I’m here.”
Leonardo spread his arms wide, folding not a brother, but a lover.
“You must promise me,” he mumbled, “that you won’t set about anything alone. That you’ll wait for me.”
“I’ll wait for you,” Donatello promised.
8
Droning of the Battleshell was lulling Donatello.
“Leo, check over him.”
He winced.
“Easy, it's me. Did he do something to you? Why are you crying?”
